I admit to being a reality tv addict. (Recovering as I only make time for Amazing Race, Survivor and Top Chef now). It's been awhile though since I got into one of the really awful reality shows. I'll peek at The Hills or Real Housewives of Orange County while doing chores or something but that's it.
Oh, but on Monday, after The Bachelor (yawn) I caught this brilliant new show on ABC . The producers are Ashton Kutcher and Tyra Banks. I love love love Tyra Banks and her ability to make everything about her. She cracks me up. Anyway, the 10 beautiful contestants are told that this is a beauty competition and the winner gets 100K and to be in People Magazine's most beautiful issue. There are going to be assorted "beauty" challenges. What the contestants don't know, until they get the boot, is that they are also being tested on "inner" beauty. Do they open doors for other people, snoop, etc.
The premise is sort of stupid really (I don't necessarily think that not opening a door one time makes you a bad person) but I thoroughly enjoy seeing the conceited jerk contestants on the show get made fun of.
Let's not talk about my inner beauty, k?

I found your blog on the Des Moines Families site. I'm a Des Moines blogger too. My husband and I watched bits and pieces of that show. It was interesting to listen to all of the "beautiful people". We're Survivor fans here at our house. Oh, and Big Brother. That's our guilty pleasure in the summer. :-)
